कहिले आँसु, कहिले हाँसो,
कहिले सपना उम्रेको,
कहिले युद्धको धूलो बगेको।
किसानको हातले जोतेको,
रगतले रंगिएको,
सिपाहीको बुटले कुल्चिएको,
फेरि पनि उस्तै बलियो बनेको।
यो माटोले अँगालेको छ,
शरीर बनेर जन्मिनेहरूलाई,
र फेरि काखमा सुताएको छ,
समयले ओगटेको लासहरूलाई।
माटोले सुनेको छ,
पाइलाका आवाज,
कहिले विदाइका रून्चे ध्वनि,
कहिले बालकका पहिलो हाँसो।
यो माटो कहिले ढुंगा बनेको छ,
कहिले फूल बनेर फुलेको छ,
कहिले महल बनेर उठेको छ,
कहिले खरानी बनेर उडेको छ।
तर यो माटो मौन छ,
सबै थाहा पाएर पनि,
सबैलाई अँगालेर पनि,
सधैं आफ्नो अस्तित्व बोकेर बसेको छ।
माटोको कथा कहिल्यै सकिँदैन,
किनकि जबसम्म जीवन छ,
जबसम्म सपनाहरू बाँचिरहेछन्,
माटोले आफ्नो कहानी लेखिरहन्छ।
