Senior Advocate Radheshyam Adhikari Expresses Concern Over Violence Replacing Ballots

Lalitpur. Senior advocate Radheshyam Adhikari has expressed concern that a belief that power can be changed through violence instead of ballots is being established. He expressed this concern about the current political situation and the future of democracy while addressing the 34th Prakash Kafle Memorial Day and 32nd Prakash Human Rights Award distribution ceremony organized in Lalitpur on Saturday.

He argued that the repetition of past violent incidents is happening because those responsible were not held accountable. Recalling the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24, he said that because accountability could not be established for those incidents, similar incidents are now being repeated.
