Rastriya Swatantra Party Whip Kabindra Burlaakoti Advocates for PMO Control Over Strategic Bodies

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party Chief Whip Kabindra Burlaakoti has stated that strategic bodies of the government should be kept under the Prime Minister's Office. He expressed this view during the clause-wise discussion on the 'Bill to Revive the Previous Provisions of the Nepal Special Service Act, 2042' at the meeting of the State Management and Good Governance Committee.

Burlaakoti urged that the government should be allowed to place strategic importance bodies in its own favorable positions for performance. During the discussion, Burlaakoti drew the attention of the members to focus only on the main points of the bill's amendment rather than the implementation methodology. He emphasized the need to move forward with the bill at present, mentioning that the effectiveness of government bodies can be discussed in detail in future meetings. He stated that the committee's discussion should be brief and result-oriented, especially as the session is about to begin.
