Government to Provide Relief to Families of Deceased and Injured in Sunsari and Siraha Protests

Kathmandu. The government has decided to provide relief including compensation to the families of those who died in the protests in Sunsari and Siraha districts and to arrange for the treatment of the injured. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting held at Singhdarbar on Wednesday, informed government spokesperson and Minister of Education and Sports, Sasmita Pokharel.

Following the incident in Sunsari on July 26, three people died in Sunsari and one in Siraha, while more than a dozen were injured.
