Five Climbers' Bodies Recovered from Broad Peak, Pakistan

Kathmandu. The bodies of Nims Dai and others have been collected from the extremely difficult and dangerous location of Pakistan's Broad Peak mountain and brought to the hospital. The Alpine Club of Pakistan has officially informed through a press release that the bodies of five climbers have been brought to Skardu-based CMH Hospital by helicopter. The club has informed that the bodies of climbers Nirmal Purja (Nims Dai), Wang Jong, Nima Sherpa, Gyalu Sherpa, and Killi Pemba 'Kilu' Sherpa have been collected and brought to the hospital. According to the club, after completing the necessary legal and administrative procedures and paperwork at the hospital, these bodies will be transferred to Pakistan's capital Islamabad. The bodies of two other climbers who lost their lives on Broad Peak, Nadhira Alharthi and Purbahadur Gurung 'Yukt' Sherpa, have already been sent to their home countries after completing the necessary procedures, the club stated. Yukt is Nepali, while Nadhira is Omani. Sohail Sakhi and Mallory Gais, who were involved in the accident, are still missing. Similarly, the Alpine Club clarified that the body of another Nepali climber, Nawang Thindu Sherpa, could not be collected in the current situation due to its location in an area with extremely high altitude and intense avalanche risk.
