Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah to Resign Today

Dhangadhi. Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah is going to resign today by addressing the Provincial Assembly. The Provincial Assembly meeting is scheduled to be held at 5 PM today. After Chief Minister Shah addresses the meeting, he is preparing to submit his resignation to the Province Chief.

Chief Minister Shah is resigning as he does not have the condition to get a vote of confidence in the Provincial Assembly. The government led by Shah had fallen into a minority after CPN UML withdrew its support to the provincial government on Asar 31. The 30-day deadline to take a vote of confidence as per the constitution is also expiring today.
