World Mosquito Day today, 168 species of mosquitoes found in Nepal

Kathmandu, Aug 20: The World Mosquito Day is being observed in Nepal under the theme ‘Small Bite, Big Challenge’ today. Various programmes are being organised to mark the Day.

This Day is observed to raise public awareness about mosquito-borne diseases and measures to be protected from it. Malaria, dengue, chikungunya, kala-azar, scrub typhus, elephantiasis, Japanese Encephalitis are mosquito-borne diseases.
