Government Estimates NPR 2.34 Billion for Flood-Affected Education Sector in Rasuwa

Kathmandu. The government has estimated an expenditure of NPR 2.34 billion (2,343,217,500) for the rehabilitation of the education sector affected by the devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa on Bhadra 10.

According to the 'Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment' report prepared by a joint technical team including the National Planning Commission and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, 18 schools have been affected by the flood. Of these, 11 school buildings have been completely damaged, while 7 schools have sustained partial damage.
