Carney, The No-Nonsense Man

For a long time, Lake Ontario has been the name; perhaps not anymore. If Donald Trump, the president of the United States, has his way, it will be renamed Lake America. That would be his way of getting back at Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, who stands up to the strongman bent on bullying and threatening any foreign leader. Carney is among the few world leaders who respond to the US president’s arm-twisting tactics designed to push his agenda through, either by sheer ranting and bluffing or by summoning every means and method at his disposal to straighten any “black sheep”. This has been the rule from the very start of his second term at the White House in January 2025.
