India Sends Rescue Teams and Equipment to Nepal Following Floods and Landslides

Kathmandu. Amidst significant loss of life and property caused by floods and landslides, India has sent state-of-the-art equipment and expert teams for rescue and relief.

India has sent a 'Tunnel Technical Contingent' as many people have gone missing in the tunnels of hydropower projects due to floods. This team has special equipment necessary for search and rescue inside tunnels, informed India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
