Director General Pokharel: New Laws and Policies for Transport Sector

Kathmandu. Director General of the Department of Transport Management, Rajib Pokharel, has stated that the government is bringing new laws and policies to make the transport sector organized and technology-friendly.

Addressing the 'Naima Mobility Expo 2026', Director General Pokharel informed that the draft of the Transport Management Act has been prepared and will be implemented soon. He clarified that the old act could not encompass the current needs due to the country's federalism and increasing use of technology, hence the act is being revised.
