Department of Transport Management Implements New Online System for Driver's License Services

Kathmandu. The Department of Transport Management has implemented a new online system to further streamline services related to vehicle driver's license. In the new system implemented from July 17, 2024, national identity card, mobile number in one's own name, and email have been made mandatory for filling new license forms and updating details.

Meanwhile, in the context of upgrading the server and implementing the new system, all transport-related services were halted for about 3 weeks from July 17 across transport offices nationwide due to system downtime. Services are now operational, clarified Keshav Khatiwada, Director of the Department of Transport Management.
