Press Council Nepal Objects to the Arrest of Kishor Shrestha and the Seizure of Media Equipment

Kathmandu. Press Council Nepal has expressed serious concern over the arrest of Aastha Media Chairman and Jana Aastha Weekly Editor Kishor Shrestha and the subsequent police raid on the media organisation’s office.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Council objected to the arrest of a journalist in connection with news coverage and the confiscation of computers and other equipment from Shrestha’s residence and the Jana Aastha office.
