Karnali Government Expansion Stalled Over Ministry Portfolios

Surkhet. An agreement on the number of ministries has been reached in Karnali even before staking claim to the Chief Ministership. On July 12, Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) parliamentary party leader Mangal Bahadur Shahi was appointed Chief Minister with the support of CPN (UML). His claim and appointment were made on the same day. However, even after half a month, Shahi has not been able to expand his cabinet. It is being discussed outside that the reason for this is the disagreement between the two coalition partners over the distribution of ministries.

However, the number of ministries had already been agreed upon before staking claim to the Chief Ministership on July 12.
