Mining sector revenue sharply declines in FY 2025/26

Kathmandu, Aug 14: Revenue collected from mining, and production and export of minerals has sharply declined by around Rs 700 million in the last fiscal year 2025/26, according to the Department of Mines and Geology.

The Department collected Rs 894.8 million revenue in the fiscal year 2025/26 against Rs 1.59 billion revenue in fiscal year 2024/25.
