Nigel Farage's Gift Investigation Reopens After By-Election Win

London. The UK's parliamentary ethics watchdog has reopened its investigation into a £5 million ($6.7 million) gift to far-right politician Nigel Farage on Friday, just hours after he was re-elected as an MP in a by-election.

Farage easily reclaimed his parliamentary seat in Clacton in eastern England, which he first won in 2024. He secured 63 percent of the vote in a contest boycotted by major parties as a pantomime.
