Monsoon Influence Across Nepal, Heavy Rainfall Expected in Some Areas

Kathmandu. Currently, the monsoon wind's influence is present across the country, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology informed. The monsoon trough line is currently located near Nepal, around the average position in the east and north of the average position in the west.

Due to this, Koshi, Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, are generally experiencing cloudy skies. Madhesh Province, along with the plains of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, are partly cloudy. Light to moderate rain is occurring in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces, a few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and one or two places in Gandaki Province.
