India's 80th Independence Day Celebrated in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. India's 80th Independence Day was grandly celebrated at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu on Saturday.

The ceremony, which began with the singing of 'Vande Mataram', saw the national flag hoisted by the Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, followed by the national anthems of both countries. Subsequently, a broadcast of the address given by India's President Droupadi Murmu to the nation on the eve of the 80th Independence Day was aired.
