Paying via QR? Here’s How to Make Sure Your Transaction Qualifies for the Government’s Taxpayer Incentive Program

Kathmandu. The Inland Revenue Department has started announcing winners under the taxpayer incentive program introduced from July, with coupon numbers being published on the 1st and 16th of every Nepali month. Consumers who make eligible payments of more than Rs 100 can participate in the program.

More than 32 million transactions were recorded during the second half of Shrawan, according to the department. For consumers, one of the easiest ways to participate is by paying through a merchant QR. However, simply making a QR payment does not necessarily guarantee a coupon.
