Four Settlements in Nuwakot at High Risk Due to Trishuli River Floods

Nuwakot. Following the flow of floods in the Trishuli River from Bhote Koshi, settlements in four places in Nuwakot have fallen into high risk. Those settlements have come under risk due to the change in the flow of the Trishuli River and the erosion of land by the floods that have occurred repeatedly.

The settlement in the Darsanatar area of Tarakeshwar Rural Municipality-4 on the west side of the district has been most affected, informed Chief District Officer of Nuwakot Shambhu Prasad Regmi. According to him, Darsanatar and surrounding settlements, where more than 100 households reside, are at risk.
